100,000 square foot new facility to house the expanded WB Marvin.
After being in the same factory for decades, WB Marvin is expanding. Frost King, parent company of WB Marvin recently completed purchase on a 100,000 square feet manufacturing and distribution center on 20 acres which will eventually house an expanded WB Marvin. “We are proud to be able to increase our manufacturing presence in Urbana,” said David Gerstein, President of Frost King, parent company of WB Marvin.
The 20 acre, 100,000 Square foot facility, currently in use by the Rittal Corporation, will eventually house the entire WB Marvin window screen line. From screen production to warehousing, the plan is to keep and grow the entire line of WB Marvin Screens in Urbana. “The work force here is exactly what we are looking for,” according to David Gerstein, “the people of Urbana are professional, driven and have the work ethic which can make a company like Frost King successful.” Founded in Urbana Ohio in 1915, W.B. Marvin introduced the iconic metal rail adjustable screen in 1936. However, by 2007, with competition from overseas and an economic downturn, WB Marvin was forced to close it doors.
